Early W2’s

by Linda - Your Tax Coach

There’s a service from Jackson Hewitt and H&R Block which allows you to send electronic w2’s in up to 3 weeks earlier than waiting for your employer mailed w2 to come. This will affect you if you get earned income credit or are expecting a refund and want to get it as soon as possible.

If you owe a tax liability there’s no benefit to filing and paying it early. Some of the biggest payroll companies including ADP have enabled this electronic w2 service. Another good benefit is it will spread out the amount of returns over a longer time period so the IRS isn’t swamped and you get your money back faster.
